Position: Daycare Infant Teacher
As an Infant Teacher, you'll embark on an exciting journey of discovery alongside our little learners. You'll build trusted relationships with families as you provide nurturing care and help infants develop their foundation. Responsibilities
- Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment for infants
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that are created for you

- Experience in early childhood education and preschool settings preferred

Shift Schedule: 7:00am to 6:00pm

What You’ll Do
Provide loving, individualized care for infants ages 6 weeks to 18 months and toddlers ages 18 to 23 months
Build strong and trusting relationships with families
Implement lesson plans aligned with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
Monitor and document developmental milestones
Communicate daily with families through our digital app
Follow Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Office of Child Care regulations for licensed child care centers
Qualifications (per Maryland State Requirements)
To qualify as a Lead Infant Teacher in Maryland, you must meet one of the following:
✅ Option 1: Hold a 90-Hour Infant & Toddler Certification (45-Hour Child Growth & Development + 45-Hour Infant/Toddler Methods & Materials)
✅ Option 2: Hold a CDA Credential (Child Development Associate) in Infant/Toddler or higher degree in Early Childhood Education
✅ Option 3: Have completed college coursework in child development, early childhood, or related field with MSDE approval
Additional Requirements:
Must be at least 19 years old
Must pass a Maryland State and FBI background check & fingerprinting
Must have a current CPR/First Aid Certification (or be willing to obtain within 90 days)
Prior experience in a licensed child care center preferred
